Haven’t seen this but saw the comic relief sketches and although some of the asides and comments made were cuttingly funny, partridge is now such a total cunt of a character I find some of it has gone beyond cringey into the realms of a sort of Uber-piers Morgan

Loved the 100 year old woman who was being interviewed talking about her younger days in the Raj.... how the Negroes were far more stronger than the local Indians....
Alan partridge "Different times....... Different Times.... sorry about the wind..... and the racism"

A good watch much better then most comedy on t.v be interesting to find out the views of the younger generation say under 30 what they make of it.
I can still watch the older ones of him staying in the hotel and find them funny every time.

Its like a comedian telling the same joke over and over or an author writing the same book over and over. If you like the joke you will probably like it. Thing is, I loved the joke the first time and where he took it but this is flogging a dead horse.

I just love Partridge to be honest. It's not as good as his previous stuff but its still funny in that Partridge way.

“There’s not many better things than seeing an older woman skipping.”
“What do you notice most that has changed during your 18 years in jail? Cars have five gears now, for example.”
“I hope when I’m reincarnated I come back black because you age better.”
"He suffers for us. He bears our pain in the most public way possible. He serves a timeless human need, one that goes back long before the time of Christ. Perhaps this has always been Paul Gasgoine’s destiny.”
Classic Madeley, more Partridge than Partridge. Superb.

The back and forth with the geordie in the discussion at the end had me in stitches. I must admit after the first episode I was worried the BBC had managed to fuck this up, but I'm happy to be wrong.
